REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY-NOVEMBER 8th at 10:30.

WHO: The Grade 5/6 students are hosting this assembly.  All Capitol Hill School students will attend and friends/family members are welcome.

WHAT: REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY.

WHERE: CAPITOL HILL SCHOOL GYM.

WHEN: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2019 @ 10:30 am.

DRESS CODE FOR GRADE 5/6 STUDENTS: BLACK/DARK BOTTOMS and a WHITE TOP; if that is not possible, all black would be a secondary choice.  NO LOGOS on clothing please as we are trying to dress up to commemorate this occasion.

Please remember to bring headphones or earbuds for your learning next week.

SWIMMING REMINDER

We are leaving for swimming at 8:40am on Monday, October 21st and Wednesday, October 23rd.  Please be on time with your necessary swim suit, towel, and a bag for your wet items.

We are leaving for swimming at 8:40am on Monday, October 7th.  Please be on time with your necessary swim suit, towel, and a bag for your wet items.

OUTDOOR SCHOOL

Packing List-check the weather every morning

• Pack your own water bottle-there is some water available on site.
• Bring a lunch and two or three snacks for a whole day-nut free (this is a litter-free facility, all garbage goes home with you)
• Jackets for the possible cold/wet weather
• Rain/snow boots for outside conditions,
• Runners for outside running and drier conditions
• Dressing in layers: colder in the morning and it could be during the day so students need to keep warm. Bring gloves, mittens, tuque, neck warmer; NO scarves (due to climbing activities); bring extra socks, gloves if they become wet
• Bring a backpack with a lunch bag
• Unscented hand sanitizer, Kleenex (optional)
• Label your belongings and make sure you have your belongings everyday going home and repacked for the next day
• Cellphones are turned off and must stay in your backpacks; do not bring valuables to the site; NO CAMERAS, no toys. We are not responsible for any missing or damaged items.

*Parents must contact the homeroom teacher or the school in advance if there are any changes to the 5:30 release.
