FINAL GOOGLE MEET-TODAY, JUNE 24 at 1 pm

Hello Everyone:

Remember that our GOOGLE MATH MEET TIME has changed! It will be on today (Wednesday, June 24) at 1:00 pm to accommodate the times for students to come to the school to pick up their belongings.

During our Google Meet we will present our zoo designs. Project Prompts for a brief presentation next week. Choose one of these prompts to talk about:
a) Explain the part of your zoo design you are the most proud of.
b) What part of the project planning or design was the most challenging and how did you overcome it?
c) If you were to do this assignment again, what would you do differently? 

I will send out the link a few minutes before our meet time.

Hello Everyone,

June 15-19 is another Spirit Week.  It is "Harry Potter Spirit Week!"  See the flyer below for information.

This week you will continue to design your very own zoo for final Grade 5 Math Project. It is due THIS Friday.  It is also a good time to use time this week to review your previous assignments, videos, vocabulary and practice using IXL to get ready for the final assessment next week.  

We will go over any questions that you have at our Wednesday Google Meet as well as focus on some review for the final assessment next week.  

Grade 5 Math Google Meet:  Wednesday, June 17 @ 11 am.  The link will be emailed to you 5 minutes before our meeting.  Remember to celebrate "Harry Potter Spirit Week!" when you come to our Google Meet!

Yeah! We are excited for a Capitol Hill School staff parade on Friday, June 19!!! Parents, check your emails too!

This is a great way to see each other and still follow physical distancing guidelines. Check out the parade route and see where you can stand to see us all pass by! Read the heartfelt messages by our school staff. Take some pictures and send them to us!

June 8-12 is another Spirit Week.  It is "Superheroes & Disney Spirit Week!"  See the flyer below for information.

This week you will be asked to begin designing your very own zoo for final Grade 5 Math Project. Be certain to read the instructions and review the examples to plan and design for your very own zoo.  We will go over the project expectations and examples at our Wednesday Google Meet.  

We will meet as usual on Wednesday morning and go over tips to complete the zoo project.  Bring your questions to the Meet and we can go over them together.  Remember to celebrate "Superheroes & Disney Spirit Week!" when you come to our Google Meet!

Grade 5 Math Google Meet:  Wednesday, June 10 @ 11 am.  The link or class code will be emailed to you 5 minutes before our meeting.

Wow! Welcome to June!

June 1-4 is another Spirit Week.  It is "Crazy Hair Week!"  See the flyer below for information.

This week you will be asked to complete one assignment with three sections for our Grade 5 Math work.  After that, it would be a good use of your time to catch up on any assignments previously assigned that are still not completed.  You will use these skills for the project you will be engaging in next week.

We will meet as usual on Wednesday morning and go over some sample questions.  Bring your questions to the Meet and we can go over them together.  Remember to celebrate "Crazy Hair Week!" when you come to our Google Meet!
